Linkedin
In a world where technology is expanding, people are looking for ways to utilize it and incorporate it into their daily lives. Linkedin is a website similar to Facebook; it allows for its users to create their own profiles that they can use to promote their business or themselves. The founder and CEO of Linkedin is Jeff Weiner. Jeff Weiner was previously an executive at Yahoo.com. Linkedin helps its users find connections which in turn creates more business for its users. The website was founded in the December of 2002 and was launched on May 15 in 2003. In 2013, Linkedin reported to have acquired over 225 million users in over 200 countries and different territories around the world.
Linkedin has become a necessity to many different people and businesses all over the world and continues to perform its tasks. It creates connections between different businesses all around the world, which in turn has the ability to create jobs for many people.

Even though Linkedin has proved to be a very resourceful websites with many positive qualities that allows for growth of economies and businesses, it may have downfalls. It has been argued that Linkedin has flaws such as connections it presents. Not all people will accept the request possibly due to competition. It has also been said that security of the network can be potentially threatening because if someone were to move to another company all of the contacts would go with that person.

I personally feel that Linkedin is a good website for different companies and small businesses because it allows for connections to be made. It also utilizes the current technology that the world is becoming reliant on.
